With over 25 years of international experience in the Information Technology industry, I have led highly successful organisations with a balance of strategy definition and operational execution. I have overseen the recruitment and development of high performance teams across Europe and I have outstanding relationships with the press and political leaders in Spain.

  • Rosa García was born in Madrid in 1965. Married and mother of three children.
  • Graduate in Mathematics from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
  • She has worked in multinationals such as NEC and WordPerfect, and at Microsoft from 1991 to 2010, where she held diverse national and international positions:
  • In the USA she was named Strategic Manager and in 2002 she returned to Spain to assume the presidency of Microsoft Ibérica, a post she held until July 2008 when she was named Vice-President of Microsoft Western Europe for Consumption & Online.
  • In October 2011 she assumed the role of President of Siemens in Spain.
  • She is also currently a member of the administrative councils of Acerinox and Bankinter; a member of the advisory board of the Asociación para el Progreso de la Dirección (Association for the Progress of Management – APD) and the European University of Madrid; and Vice-President of the Social Council of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
  • Since June 2016, Rosa García has been the President of the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain.
  • She has received several prestigious awards, including: Director of the Year (AED); Expansion & Employment Award for Best CEO in HR; and the Female Manager Award (FEDEPE) and (ASEME)
  • She has accumulated more than 25 years of experience in technology sectors.
